We are all innately gifted.
The question is how does one utilize the gift he or she has?
The amazing thing about a gift is that
you don’t have to do anything to earn it,
you don’t have to work for it,
you don’t have to deserve it
but it is freely given because it is…a gift!
You didn’t have to do anything to receive this gift.
The person giving it, was the one to take all the actions in this transaction because from the receiver’s end it was free
but from the giver’s end it wasn’t.
This is where your worth comes into the picture.
Jesus, had to go above and beyond to give everything He had for the gift that you have and that is why the writer says that
“we are bought with a price”.
…You may ask “how much is that price?”
For Judas,
that price was 30 pieces of silver because
choosing between the Son and himself,
he chose himself.
For God,
“for God so loved the world” that
choosing between you and Himself,
He chose you.
So as I ask the person in the mirror,
“choosing between yourself and Him, who do you choose?”
I hear Christians from the days of old, singing
“I’d rather have Him, than silver and gold.”
Stay blessed,
Prince
